Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico in a family who was passionate about music. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of opera and tangos, and any dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. After relocating into America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her place in southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in the traditional Latin American music at private events. Alongside being a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana has been a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations in keeping the music vibrant.
